{"id":7960,"date":"2022-12-05T17:44:02","date_gmt":"2022-12-05T09:44:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.minutegospel.com\/?p=7960"},"modified":"2022-12-05T18:54:02","modified_gmt":"2022-12-05T10:54:02","slug":"%f0%9f%93%96-acts-1-1-11-patternsinthebible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.minutegospel.com\/?p=7960","title":{"rendered":"\ud83d\udcd6 Acts 1: 1-11 | #PatternsInTheBible"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-default-sans-font-family has-small-font-size is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when he was <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#707170\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">taken up<\/mark><\/strong>, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. 3 He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-left:1em\">and <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#567393\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">speaking<\/mark><\/strong> about the kingdom of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-left:2em\">4 And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#8e6766\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">Jerusalem<\/mark><\/strong>, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-left:3em\">but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, \u201cyou heard from me; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#41b4a1\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">Holy Spirit<\/mark><\/strong> not many days from now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-left:4em\">6 So when they had come together, they asked him, \u201cLord, will you at this <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#e19f20\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">time<\/mark><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-left:5em\">restore the kingdom to Israel?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-left:4em\">7 He said to them, \u201cIt is not for you to know <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#e19f20\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">times<\/mark><\/strong> or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-left:3em\">8 But you will receive power when the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#41b4a1\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">Holy Spirit<\/mark><\/strong> has come upon you, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-left:2em\">and you will be my witnesses in <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#8e6766\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">Jerusalem<\/mark><\/strong> and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-left:1em\">9 And when he had <strong><mark style=\"background-color:#567393\" class=\"has-inline-color has-background-color\">said<\/mark><\/strong> these things, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, \u201cMen of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven?
